Nine-Year-Old Girl Dies After Minibus Accident in Rosh HaAyin
A nine-year-old girl riding a scooter was critically injured Monday afternoon after being hit by a minibus in Rosh HaAyin. Emergency medical teams treated her at the scene and transported her to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where doctors fought for her life for over an hour before declaring her dead. Magen David Adom paramedic Alon Havani reported that the girl was unconscious, without pulse or breathing upon arrival, and advanced resuscitation efforts were performed during transport.
The driver of the minibus, a man in his 30s from Kafr Qasim, was detained by police for investigation on suspicion of involvement in the accident. Authorities have opened an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Separately, a fatal traffic accident occurred Monday evening on the Haifa road near Kiryat Ata involving two motorcycles and a car. A 53-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering severe multiple injuries. Another motorcyclist, approximately 60 years old, was seriously injured, and two car passengers sustained minor injuries. Magen David Adom teams provided medical care and evacuated the injured to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
