Seven-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Hit by Bus in Modiin Illit
A seven-year-old boy was fatally struck by a bus in Modiin Illit on Thursday. The child suffered multiple severe injuries, and despite the efforts of Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics, his death was confirmed at the scene. Senior MDA paramedics Yedidya Hachmon and Moshe Koperman reported that the boy was unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and had extensive trauma.
Police from the Modiin Illit station are investigating the incident, with traffic accident investigators from the Central District conducting a probe into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
This tragedy follows a similar fatal accident the previous day in Rosh HaAyin, where a nine-year-old girl died after being hit by a minibus while riding a scooter on Rebbe Shalom Shabazi Street. MDA teams performed advanced resuscitation and transported her to Beilinson Hospital in critical condition, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The minibus driver, a man in his 30s from Kafr Qasim, was detained for questioning as police continue to gather evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
