7-Year-Old Moshe Glinsky Killed by Bus in Modiin Illit Returning from Cheder
Moshe Glinsky, a 7-year-old boy from Modiin Illit, tragically died after being struck by a bus while crossing the street in the Brachfeld neighborhood. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM on July 17th (17th of Tammuz) as Moshe was returning from cheder, where he studied in third grade at the Breslov Talmud Torah. The bus, operated by the Kavim company, was reportedly traveling at high speed. Emergency medical teams arrived promptly but were forced to declare Moshe dead at the scene.
Volunteers from ZAKA's Modiin Illit team responded to the accident, handling the respectful recovery of the body and collecting evidence from the site. Shlomo Gottlieb, commander of ZAKA Modiin Illit, along with volunteers Aryeh Hershler and Tzvika Yebrov, described the scene as difficult and sorrowful. Moshe was the son of Rabbi Aharon Glinsky, a prominent figure at the midnight Kollel in the Breslov Kloiz of Modiin Illit, grandson of Rabbi Nachman Nachman Glinsky, a leading Breslov Hasid in Emmanuel, and great-grandson of Rabbi Yaakov Glinsky, known as the Magid of the Ministers. The community mourns the loss and prays for his soul to be bound in the bond of life.
