Teenager Hospitalized After Bus Collision at Jerusalem Entrance
A 16-year-old Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) teenager was struck by a bus and sustained moderate injuries at a bus stop near the entrance to Jerusalem on Tuesday. Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting the boy to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He is reported to be in stable, moderate condition.
According to United Hatzalah, the incident occurred while the teenager was waiting at the bus stop adjacent to the Givat Shaul neighborhood. Responders found him suffering from head and limb injuries as a result of the collision with the bus. Yonatan Elzra and Yosef Museri, United Hatzalah paramedics who treated the victim, stated that they provided initial medical aid for his injuries before he was evacuated by ambulance.
This incident follows a recent pattern of road accidents involving Haredi pedestrians in the area. Just days prior, a 19-year-old yeshiva student was injured in a similar accident involving a bus at the entrance to Jerusalem.
The teenager's family has been notified and is with him at the hospital. The public has been called upon to pray for his complete recovery.
