Carmiel Residents Told to Boil Tap Water Due to Contamination Concerns
The Israeli Ministry of Health has issued a directive requiring residents of Carmiel to boil all tap water before consumption, food preparation, or administering medication. The instruction also applies to brushing teeth. This precautionary measure was enacted after laboratory tests revealed non-standard results from samples of the city's water supply.
The ministry clarified that the water can still be used for bathing and general sanitation purposes without boiling. The directive remains in effect until further notice, pending additional testing and confirmation of water safety.
