Health Ministry Orders Boiling Water in Carmiel After Contamination Found
Israel's Ministry of Health has issued a directive requiring residents of Carmiel to boil all tap water before consumption. This measure was implemented after the ministry received results from water sampling that indicated abnormal levels of contaminants.
The directive mandates that water must be boiled prior to drinking, cooking, preparing medications, and brushing teeth. The ministry specified that the water can still be used for bathing and sanitation purposes.
This advisory remains in effect until further notice. The Ministry of Health stated it will provide updates as more information becomes available. The city of Carmiel is located in the Western Galilee region of northern Israel.
