Body of Missing Haifa Beach Swimmer Found After Extensive Search

Israeli police announced the discovery of the body of a 22-year-old Haifa resident who went missing on Thursday afternoon at "Studenim" beach. The young man had entered the sea and disappeared, prompting a three-day search operation involving numerous emergency services and volunteers. The extensive search efforts utilized drones, a police helicopter, a light aircraft, boats, jet skis, mounted police, and off-road vehicles. Searches were conducted continuously, day and night, from the air, along the coastline, and at sea. Participants included police officers and volunteers from the Coastal District, Border Police, the police aviation and maritime units, mounted police, K9 units, Israel Navy soldiers, the Fire and Rescue Services' "Lehava" unit, police rescue volunteers, the Haifa municipality, emergency response organizations like "Ichud Hatzala" and "Yedidim," volunteer divers, beach lifeguards, and ZAKA volunteers. The Israeli Police expressed gratitude to all involved in the search and offered condolences to the deceased's family. The victim's name has not yet been released.
