Missing Young Man Found Dead on Haifa's Student Beach

The body of a young man who had been reported missing was discovered on Haifa's Student Beach. A large-scale search operation involving police, volunteers, and various rescue and security units was conducted. The search employed drones, a police helicopter, boats, jet skis, horses, and all-terrain vehicles, with thorough sweeps carried out from the air, along the coastline, and in the water.

Participating units included multiple police teams, volunteers from the Coastal District, Border Police fighters, the Air Unit, the Maritime Police, mounted units, K-9 units, and the Navy. The "Lahava" unit of the Fire and Rescue Services, along with rescue teams, the Haifa Municipality, the Rescue Union, volunteers, maritime rescue crews, Magen David Adom, and other organizations also contributed to the extensive effort.

Following the discovery, the body was transferred for legal and medical procedures. Police extended their condolences to the family and stated that investigations into the circumstances of the incident would continue. The incident highlights the need to enhance beach safety measures, particularly during summer seasons when drowning and disappearance incidents increase.

The young man's family expressed deep sorrow, and the city's residents showed widespread solidarity, having followed the search efforts closely since they began.
