Young Man Missing After Entering Haifa Beach Waters
A young man in his 20s has been missing since Thursday afternoon at the Students Beach in Haifa. Rescue units from the Fire and Rescue services, along with ZAKA volunteers, conducted searches throughout the night in an effort to locate him. The Marine Police are also participating in the search operations.
The search efforts are multi-faceted, employing technological means such as sonar, maritime searches using jet skis, and foot patrols along the coastline. According to the Fire and Rescue services, the missing individual entered the water and has not been seen since.
The police issued a statement Thursday evening, reporting that officers from the Carmel precinct, the Marine Police, an aerial unit helicopter, Jeep unit volunteers, and additional rescue forces were actively searching the Students Beach. The search was initiated following a report of a young man in his 20s who entered the water in the afternoon and had not yet emerged.
