On July 1, 2026, a 15-year-old boy went missing after being swept away at an unguarded beach near Palmachim, Israel. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams reported that two other 15-year-old boys were rescued from the water and did not require medical treatment. Rescue efforts continue with additional MDA teams providing medical support during the search for the missing boy.
In a separate incident the previous night around 10:30 p.m., a man was pulled from the water by the marine police near Ma'apilim Street in Nahariya. MDA paramedics who arrived at the scene found the man without vital signs and declared him dead. Senior paramedic Dudu Elpasi stated that despite medical examinations, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
These incidents highlight ongoing risks at unguarded beaches and the critical role of emergency services in search and rescue operations along Israel’s coast.
