15-Year-Old Boy Drowns at Palmachim Beach After Being Swept Away with Friends

A tragic drowning occurred on Wednesday evening at an unmonitored beach near Kibbutz Palmachim, where three 15-year-old boys were swept away by the sea. Two of the boys were rescued quickly and found to be in good condition, requiring no hospital treatment. However, the third boy went missing, prompting an extensive search operation involving rescue forces from the sea, air, and land.

Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom arrived promptly to provide initial care to the two rescued boys. Simultaneously, reinforced firefighting and rescue units, including the elite "Lahav" unit and special teams from the Central District, conducted thorough searches along the shoreline and in the water using specialized equipment. The search was supported by dozens of police officers from Yavne station, volunteers, local authority representatives, and other emergency personnel who established a command post on the beach and employed various operational and technological resources.

Despite the intensive efforts, the missing boy was found lifeless after several hours of searching. Medical teams confirmed his death at the scene. The incident highlights the dangers of swimming at unmonitored beaches and the rapid response by Israeli emergency services in such situations.
