25-Year-Old Man Drowns at Beach in Rishon Lezion
A 25-year-old man drowned on Friday at a beach in Rishon Lezion. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts, but ultimately declared the man dead. Paramedic Gal Rozen and emergency medical technician Nur Hassona reported that upon arrival, the man was unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and despite basic and advanced resuscitation attempts, they could not save him.
This incident marks the second drowning at an Israeli beach within the same week. On Wednesday, a 15-year-old boy drowned near the Palmachim beach after being swept into the sea. Central District police from Yavne station, along with maritime and aerial patrol units, conducted searches and found the boy, who was then taken to the hospital in critical condition. Despite resuscitation efforts, doctors declared him dead.
These tragic events highlight ongoing safety concerns at Israeli beaches and the challenges faced by emergency responders in drowning incidents.
