Body of Man Found on Ashkelon Beach After Extensive Search
Israeli police announced on Sunday that the body of a man was found at Hofit Beach in Ashkelon, suspected to have drowned the previous evening. The search operation involved mounted police, maritime patrol units, a rescue and recovery team, and volunteers. The body will be transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification and further examination.
Separately, over the weekend, a four-year-old boy named Yuval Kogen was located about ten kilometers from where he went missing at Dogit Beach in Ashkelon. Police Commissioner Major General Danny Levi expressed gratitude to all who assisted in the search efforts over the past two days, which included police forces, volunteers, and emergency responders. Yuval was found safe and unharmed.
