Body of Missing Foreign Worker Found After Ashkelon Beach Search

After extensive searches overnight and along the coastline, the body of a missing foreign worker was found on Sunday at Bar Kochva Beach in Ashkelon. The worker, reportedly of Russian origin, had entered the sea while allegedly intoxicated. His companion attempted to rescue him but lost contact. Following the report of his disappearance, multiple forces including police, marine patrol, rescue units, and volunteers conducted thorough searches throughout the night. Shmuel Ifergan, deputy head of the Ashkelon branch and a medic with United Hatzalah, confirmed the discovery of the body. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The body will be transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification and further examination. This incident occurred near the same beach area where a four-year-old boy, Yuval Kogan, went missing over the weekend but was found safe after a search. Unfortunately, this case ended in tragedy.
