Body Found on Beach Near Zikhron Yaakov Prompts Police Investigation
On January 5, 2025, a body was discovered washed ashore near Zikhron Yaakov, prompting police to secure the scene and launch an investigation. Earlier this year, another male body, estimated to be in his 70s, was found among rocks at the second boarding pier in the Jaffa port. Emergency responders, including Magen David Adom paramedic Sara Cohen and emergency medical technician Roy Leventer, arrived at the Jaffa port after receiving reports of a man found among rocks in the water. They joined security forces in retrieving the man, who was found without pulse or respiration. Despite medical efforts, his death was confirmed on site. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding these incidents.
