Woman Found Dead at Nachsholim Beach Near Zichron Yaakov Amid Multiple Recent Drownings in Israel

On Wednesday afternoon at 13:27, emergency services received a report of a woman pulled unconscious from the water near Nachsholim Beach in the Zichron Yaakov area. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived and confirmed her death at the scene. Shoval Katzin, an MDA emergency medic, stated that the woman was found without pulse or breathing and despite medical checks, death was declared on site.

This incident follows a series of recent drownings across Israel. The previous day, a 5-year-old boy nearly drowned in a public pool in Omer, Negev. MDA paramedics performed prolonged resuscitation, successfully restoring his heartbeat before transferring him in critical condition to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.

Two days earlier, a toddler around two years old drowned in a private pool in the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council near Jerusalem. Despite initial resuscitation efforts and airlift to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, the child was pronounced dead.

On the preceding Saturday, a 64-year-old man drowned near Neve Yam Beach south of Atlit. He was found unconscious and later died at Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Within two hours, a man in his 60s drowned at Blue Ray Beach in Netanya and was hospitalized in critical condition. Another 65-year-old man was also rescued unconscious from the sea near Herzliya and remains in critical condition.

These multiple drowning incidents highlight ongoing water safety concerns across Israel’s coastal and inland recreational areas.
