Two Drownings Reported in Israel, One Fatality and One Critical

A man in his 30s drowned on Saturday south of Tel Baruch Beach in Tel Aviv. He was pulled from the water unconscious, and Magen David Adom paramedics performed resuscitation efforts before transporting him to the hospital. Approximately one hour earlier, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl drowned at the rocky beach in Bat Yam. She was evacuated in moderate condition to Wolfson Hospital in Holon.

Magen David Adom paramedic Lior Paz and senior EMT Kfir Warsano described the rescue of the toddler, stating, "When we arrived at the beach, we connected with the lifeguards who provided initial treatment to the toddler. We were told they saw her drowning and pulled her to shore. She was unconscious, and we provided life-saving medical treatment including oxygen until she recovered and opened her eyes."

These incidents follow a series of recent drownings. Last Friday, a 7-year-old boy drowned in a lake at South Park in Tel Aviv. He was found after searches and rescue efforts, then evacuated to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead. About a month ago, a man from Laqia in the Negev died after drowning in a public pool in Omer, having been hospitalized in serious condition a week prior. The day before that, a 12-year-old boy was found lifeless in the Jordan River after his boat capsized near Yesod HaMa'ala in the Hula Valley.
