Fifteen-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Swept Away Near Palmachim Beach

A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening near an unregulated beach close to Palmachim, where three 15-year-old boys were swept into the sea. Two of the boys were rescued conscious, but the third went missing, prompting an extensive hour-long search involving firefighters from the Lahav unit, police, and other rescue organizations.

The missing boy was eventually found unconscious and unresponsive among the rocks by divers. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions and ventilation. He was transported by a specialized 4x4 ambulance to Wolfson Hospital in Holon, where doctors declared his death.

Senior MDA paramedics Hagai Natani and Yair Hirsch, who were involved in the rescue, reported that the two rescued boys were assisted by a passerby and did not require medical treatment after evaluation. They described the critical condition of the third boy upon retrieval and the subsequent emergency response that unfortunately could not save him.

The search and rescue operation highlighted the dangers of swimming in unmonitored areas and the swift response by emergency services. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident continues.
