Three Teenagers Swept Away at Unsupervised Palmachim Beach; One Still Missing

On Wednesday afternoon, three 15-year-old boys were swept into the sea at an unsupervised beach near Palmachim in central Israel. The incident occurred around 17:15, prompting a large-scale emergency response from Magen David Adom (MDA) and other security forces. Two of the teenagers were rescued unharmed, either by themselves or with civilian assistance, and did not require further medical treatment.

However, the third boy remains missing in the turbulent waters. Extensive search efforts are underway involving paramedics, police marine units, and aerial support from a police or military helicopter scanning the coastline and sea. The rescue teams are employing various methods to locate the missing teenager.

Authorities have reiterated the dangers of swimming at unmonitored beaches, which often have strong underground currents, sudden drop-offs, and hidden rocks. Without lifeguards to guide or assist swimmers, these conditions pose significant risks, especially to young people unfamiliar with the sea's power.
