Young Man Missing at Haifa Beach After Entering Water
A young man in his 20s has been missing since Thursday afternoon at the Students Beach in Haifa. Rescue units from the Fire and Rescue services, along with ZAKA volunteers, conducted searches throughout the night in an effort to locate him. The Marine Police are also participating in the extensive search operations.
The search is being conducted on multiple fronts simultaneously, utilizing technological means such as sonar, maritime searches via jet ski, and foot patrols along the coastline. According to the Fire and Rescue services, the missing individual entered the water and has not been seen since.
The police issued a statement late Thursday night, reporting that officers from the Carmel district, the Marine Police, an aerial unit helicopter, Jeep unit volunteers, and additional rescue forces were actively searching Students Beach following a report of the young man who entered the water and had not emerged.
