Popular Fruit Desserts Recalled in Israel Over Quality Concerns

An Israeli importer, Din Marketing, has initiated an urgent recall of popular fruit desserts due to customer complaints about unusual smell and texture. The company urged consumers on Thursday not to eat "Strawberry" and "4 Fruits" desserts under the "Shkediya" brand. The decision was prompted by numerous reports from consumers describing atypical odor and consistency in the products. Din Marketing stated that the entire batch is being removed from retail chains and advised customers who had already purchased the items to "categorically refrain from consuming them."

The recall is being conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Health's district food control service. The affected products are manufactured by Chinese company Linyi Dashan Food Co., Ltd., and imported by Din Marketing. The desserts are packaged in 284-gram containers under the "Shkediya" brand, with an expiration date of April 7, 2028. Products with barcodes 7290016276756 and 7290019297420 are subject to the recall.

Representatives from the importer, along with ministry specialists, are monitoring stores to prevent the potentially unsafe desserts from reaching consumers. Experts recommend checking purchased containers and returning any matching products to the point of sale or contacting the company's hotline.
