Popular Israeli Jam Brand "Shakedia" Recalled Over Quality Concerns
Dean Marketing and Roasting 2021 Ltd. announced a significant product recall in Israel on Thursday for two popular "Shakedia" brand fruit spreads: "Strawberry Fruit Delight" and "4 Fruit Delight." The recall, affecting products with a best-before date of April 7, 2028, and barcodes 7290016276756 and 7290019297420, was initiated following consumer complaints regarding unusual smell and texture.
The affected products, each weighing 284 grams, are manufactured by Linwei Dashan Food Co., Ltd. in Shandong, China, and imported into Israel by Dean Marketing and Roasting. Shakedia is described as one of Israel's most sought-after brands.
The company is actively collecting the products from distribution channels and urges customers who purchased them not to consume them. This recall is being conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Health's Central District Food Service. Consumers with questions can contact the company at 0523112488.
