Likud Party Taps Critically Wounded IDF Reservist for Knesset List
The Likud party announced on Sunday that it has reserved the 11th spot on its list for the 26th Knesset for Elisha Madan. Madan, a reservist soldier and one of the founders of the Avigail settlement in the Hebron Hills, was critically wounded and lost both his legs during operational activity in northern Gaza. Four soldiers were killed in the same incident.
Madan, who lit a torch at the 77th Independence Day ceremony, has undergone a lengthy rehabilitation process. The party stated that his recovery has become a symbol of strength, determination, and faith in life. Despite his severe injuries and the heavy price he paid, Madan has chosen to look forward and continue working to strengthen and provide hope to many Israelis.
