Yesh Atid MK Ram Ben Barak Expresses Disappointment Over Knesset List Placement

Member of Knesset Ram Ben Barak, a founding member of the Yesh Atid party, has publicly stated his disappointment with his placement at number 12 on the 'Achva' Knesset list. In an interview with Channel 12's 'Shish Ba' (Six With), Ben Barak admitted he was not satisfied with the position but affirmed his acceptance of the leadership's decision and his commitment to the upcoming elections.

"If I told you I was happy, I probably wouldn't sound credible or truthful," Ben Barak candidly stated. However, he emphasized his resolve to continue working effectively from his assigned spot, adding, "But I definitely accept the position and I know that from this position I will do many things and everything will be fine. The goal is more important than the person."

Ben Barak also addressed the departures of several Yesh Atid members who did not secure spots on the 'Achva' list, describing the process of forming the candidate slate as emotionally difficult. "Everyone who left is like a stab in the heart," he said, explaining the political complexities. "The reality is that there isn't room for everyone, and painful decisions had to be made. We need to look forward to younger Knesset members who will continue in the coming years."

He reiterated that his personal placement was secondary to the broader objective of the political bloc. "It's less important," Ben Barak clarified. "We will be in the Knesset, we will do what is necessary to oust this terrible government and establish in its place a government that knows how to act, knows how to work, and above all is principled, honest, and not corrupt."
