Liberman Unveils New Yisrael Beiteinu Knesset Slate

Avigdor Liberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, presented the party's new Knesset slate at an election event in Tel Aviv Expo on Sunday. In recent months, Liberman has expanded the party's ranks with several new candidates, including prominent public figures.

Among the notable additions is former Knesset Member Dan Illouz, who left the Likud party after a single term. Illouz announced his support for Liberman in early August and is expected to receive a realistic position on the list.

Also joining the party was Lili Ben Ami, founder of the 'Michal Sela Forum,' a prominent figure in the fight against violence against women. Ben Ami announced her affiliation with Yisrael Beiteinu just hours before Illouz's addition was revealed.

Another recent addition is Rafi Ben Shitrit, former mayor of Beit She'an for the Likud. Ben Shitrit lost his son, Elroi, during the October 7th Hamas attack on Kibbutz Nachal Oz. Since then, he has been advocating for a state commission of inquiry into the events of the massacre and is a co-founder of the 'October Council,' which also pushes for an investigation into the failures surrounding the attack.
