Yesh Atid Unveils Knesset List Amid Party Overhaul

Yesh Atid has revealed its slate for the upcoming Knesset elections, which will be integrated into a joint list with Naftali Bennett's party, tentatively named 'Achva' (Unity).

Party leader Yair Lapid described the new list as a "rebuilding" and a "generational change" within Yesh Atid, emphasizing the experience and capabilities of the candidates. The proposed lineup places Bennett at the top of the joint list, with Lapid second. Key Yesh Atid figures like former MK Meirav Cohen and MK Vladimir Beliak are slated for prominent positions, with Beliak and Naor Shiri noted for their work in the Finance Committee. The list also features new faces, including retired Major General Noam Tibon, who joined the fighting in the Gaza envelope on October 7th, and Netta Attias, who has managed the Yesh Atid faction for the past decade.

The party's announcement follows a series of departures from Yesh Atid, including former ministers Meir Cohen and Mickey Levy, and MK Karin Elharrar, who will not be running in the upcoming elections. This reshuffling occurs against the backdrop of the alliance with Bennett, which is expected to reduce the number of realistic spots for Yesh Atid representatives on the joint list.

The top ten includes four women and two new candidates. The list highlights the public and security experience of its members, including a former prime minister, a former deputy head of the Mossad, a former minister, Knesset committee chairs, and a retired general.
