Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon After Hezbollah Drone Attack
Lebanese media reported early Sunday that Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes on the towns of Kafr Rumman and Nabatieh al-Fawqa, as well as the Al-Rahibat neighborhood in Nabatieh, in southern Lebanon. The strikes reportedly destroyed a three-story residential building. Israeli artillery also targeted the Dweikha area near Nabatieh.
In response, the Israeli military stated that Hezbollah launched two suicide drones toward Israeli forces controlling the security zone in southern Lebanon. Israeli soldiers fired at and intercepted one of the drones, reporting no casualties among their ranks. The military described the drone launch as a "blatant violation" by Hezbollah and confirmed that the Israeli army was currently striking targets in southern Lebanon in retaliation.
