Hezbollah Drones Attack IDF in Lebanon; Israel Responds

Hezbollah terrorists launched a sudden drone attack against Israel Defense Forces (IDF) units in southern Lebanon on Friday evening, violating the ceasefire. The IDF announced it intercepted a drone that Hezbollah militants sent toward its forces in the security zone. Following the drone incident, the Israeli military began retaliatory strikes on targets in southern Lebanon.

The IDF stated that soldiers from the "Commando" unit fired at the drone and successfully intercepted it. No Israeli soldiers were harmed during the attack. The army characterized the drone launch as a serious violation by Hezbollah.

In response, Israeli forces are striking targets in southern Lebanon. "The IDF will continue to operate in the security zone to eliminate any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces. The IDF is acting now and will continue to act forcefully against repeated attempts by the terrorist organization Hezbollah to harm our forces," the IDF said in a statement.

This incident follows a recent IDF operation in the strategic Ali Taher mountain range in southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces took control, eliminated Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure, including underground facilities.

Amidst heightened Israeli activity, Iran has issued a warning to the United States, stating its readiness to respond forcefully if Israel initiates a large-scale offensive.
