Israel Intercepts Hezbollah Drone, Strikes Southern Lebanon
The Israeli military announced Friday evening that its forces intercepted a drone launched by Hezbollah towards Israeli troops operating in the security zone. Commando unit fighters reportedly fired at the drone, successfully neutralizing it without any Israeli casualties. The military characterized the incident as a "blatant violation" by Hezbollah.
In response to the drone launch, the Israeli army conducted airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Earlier on Friday, Lebanese media reported that the Israeli military had carried out artillery shelling targeting the town of Bani Hayyan in southern Lebanon.
