IDF Intercepts Hezbollah Drone, Strikes Targets in Southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Saturday evening that its forces intercepted a drone launched by Hezbollah operatives towards them in the security zone in southern Lebanon. The drone was shot down by soldiers from the Commando Brigade, and there were no casualties among the Israeli forces.
In response to the incursion, the IDF stated it was currently striking targets in southern Lebanon. The military described the drone launch as a "blatant violation" by the Hezbollah terror organization.
The IDF reiterated its commitment to operating in the security zone to neutralize any threats to Israeli civilians and its own forces. The military vowed to continue acting forcefully against repeated attempts by Hezbollah to harm its personnel.
