IDF Strikes South Lebanon After Hezbollah Drone Attack on Israeli Forces

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an attack in the Ali Taher ridge area of southern Lebanon on Thursday following a nighttime assault by Hezbollah. During the incident, Hezbollah fired two explosive drones at IDF troops operating in the region. One drone was shot down by Israeli forces, while contact with the second drone was lost. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the attack.

The IDF described the drone launches as a serious violation and a renewed attempt by Hezbollah to harm Israeli forces in the security zone of southern Lebanon. In response, Israeli troops initiated strikes in the Ali Taher area to counter the threat. The IDF spokesperson emphasized that Israel will not allow Hezbollah to operate against its forces in the security zone and vowed to continue responding forcefully to repeated attempts to attack Israeli troops.

This incident marks another escalation in tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in the border region, with the IDF maintaining readiness for further significant responses to such provocations.
