Hezbollah Drone Attack Foiled; IDF Strikes Southern Lebanon
The Israeli military (IDF) reported on Sunday that its forces intercepted a Hezbollah explosive drone launched toward troops operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon. Soldiers fired at the drone, successfully neutralizing it. No Israeli soldiers were harmed in the incident.
The IDF stated that the launch constituted a "blatant violation" by Hezbollah and announced that it was currently striking targets in southern Lebanon in response. "The IDF is currently operating and will continue to operate forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces," a military spokesperson said.
The incident occurred earlier Sunday morning when Hezbollah militants launched two explosive drones toward IDF positions. The military's swift action prevented any casualties.
