IDF Kills Hamas Commander Holding Three Israelis Hostage in Gaza Tunnel
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an operation yesterday in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, killing Ismail Muhammad Ibrahim Barim, a commander in Hamas's military wing. Barim was holding three Israeli captives, Idan Alexander, Matan Tsangoker, and Avera Mengistu, in a tunnel in the area. Recently, Barim had been orchestrating terror attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and was working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities despite the ceasefire. The strike aimed to eliminate this threat and prevent further attacks.
