IDF Kills Hamas Commander Holding Israeli Hostages in Gaza Tunnel
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed Ismail Muhammad Ibrahim Barim, a commander in Hamas's military wing, during an airstrike in Khan Yunis on Wednesday. Barim was involved in holding Israeli captives Idan Alexander, Matan Tsangocker, and Avra Mangisto inside a tunnel in southern Gaza. According to the IDF, Barim recently orchestrated terror attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and worked to rebuild Hamas's operational capabilities, violating the ceasefire agreement. The strike aimed to eliminate the immediate threat posed by Barim. The Southern Command forces continue to prepare in the area in line with the ceasefire and will persist in countering any threats.
