IDF Destroys Key Sections of Hezbollah Tunnel Network Near Metula in Southern Lebanon

Following statements by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, the IDF spokesperson announced that forces from Division 36 have destroyed several main routes of an underground tunnel network in the Bofor Ridge area of southern Lebanon. The tunnel system served as a central command complex used to direct combat operations and fire control. It was a strategic infrastructure built over two decades, consisting of multiple levels, and functioned as the main terrorist headquarters for Hezbollah's Badr unit in southern Lebanon.

The tunnel network was located approximately six kilometers from the Israeli town of Metula and the Galilee Panhandle. From this base, dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles, explosive drones, and anti-tank missiles were launched. According to the IDF, a significant portion of the tunnel network has been destroyed.
