IDF Destroys Hezbollah Drone Tunnel in Southern Lebanon During Operation
As part of Operation "Sof Pasuk," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed an underground terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah near the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon. According to a joint statement issued to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, the destroyed tunnel extended over 200 meters in length and was more than 25 meters deep. It contained hundreds of weapons and several launch shafts intended for attacks against Israeli territory and civilians.
The statement also noted that Israel informed the United States and the American representative in Lebanon in advance of the operation. The IDF emphasized that its forces will continue to operate in southern Lebanon to eliminate terrorist infrastructures and neutralize threats to northern Israeli communities. Following the tunnel's destruction, loud explosions were heard in the Upper Galilee region of Israel.
