IDF Destroys Hezbollah Terror Tunnels in South Lebanon Using 700 Tons of Explosives

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have destroyed a network of Hezbollah terror tunnels in the Bofor area of southern Lebanon. These underground tunnels were a key part of Hezbollah's planned invasion strategy targeting communities in the Galilee region of northern Israel. The demolition involved approximately 700 tons of explosives, as part of the IDF's systematic campaign to eliminate Hezbollah's terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

Prior to the detonation, residents along the confrontation line were warned to open their windows due to the expected shockwave from the massive blast. The operation was carried out following a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah the previous day. In a joint statement, Prime Minister and Defense Minister emphasized that Israel will not tolerate any breach of the ceasefire and vowed a strong and costly response to any attempts by Hezbollah to harm Israeli forces or civilians.

The IDF confirmed it will maintain its presence in the security zone in southern Lebanon and continue to destroy all terror infrastructure to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities.
