Israel Destroys Hezbollah Terror Tunnels in South Lebanon Using 700 Tons of Explosives

In response to violations by Hezbollah, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed terror tunnels in the Bofor area of southern Lebanon. This was announced jointly by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, who stated that approximately 700 tons of explosives were used to demolish the tunnels. They emphasized that Israel will not tolerate any breach of the ceasefire agreement. The statement warned that any attempt by Hezbollah to harm IDF forces or Israeli civilians will be met with a severe and forceful response, exacting a heavy price from the terrorist organization. The IDF will maintain its presence in the security zone in southern Lebanon and continue to dismantle all terror infrastructure to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities.
