Fatal Family Clash Erupts in East Jerusalem, Police Shoot Two Suspects
A violent family dispute in East Jerusalem resulted in one death and one critical injury, according to the Jerusalem District Police. The incident sparked riots in the Silwan neighborhood, involving gunfire, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks. Border Police and regular police forces responded, shooting and neutralizing two suspects who posed a direct threat to officers with knives and incendiary devices. Additional police units restored order in the area. Jerusalem District Commander Asaf Feld praised the swift and determined response of the forces at the scene. This event follows another violent incident two days earlier in Arabeh, Lower Galilee, where a 31-year-old man was critically injured and later died. Magen David Adom paramedic Lior Gleizer described the victim as unconscious and without vital signs upon arrival, confirming his death after medical examination.
