Maccabi Petah Tikva Earns Over £200,000 From Manor Solomon's Transfer to West Ham

Maccabi Petah Tikva will receive approximately £200,000 (over 810,000 NIS) from Manor Solomon's recent transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to West Ham United. The club that originally sold Solomon to Shakhtar Donetsk is entitled to 4% solidarity payments from the current transfer fee, which totals £5 million. Additionally, Maccabi Petah Tikva will receive 4% of the £2 million in future bonuses included in the deal, potentially adding another £80,000 to their earnings.

Previously, Maccabi Petah Tikva held 15% of the transfer fees from Shakhtar Donetsk to Tottenham, but since Solomon moved on a free transfer at that time, they did not receive any payment. Now, with this new transfer, the club will benefit from the solidarity payments.

Manor Solomon, 27, began his football journey at Maccabi Petah Tikva’s youth teams at age nine and debuted for the senior team in November 2016. Over just more than two years, he scored eight league goals in 68 appearances before being sold to Shakhtar Donetsk for €6 million in January 2019, launching his successful European career.

This summer, Maccabi Petah Tikva also sold players Niv Yehoshua to Hapoel Be'er Sheva for 5 million NIS and Marko Wolf for 700,000 NIS, continuing their active transfer business.
