West Ham Signs Israeli Winger Manor Solomon for Championship Push

West Ham United has completed the signing of 27-year-old Israeli winger Manor Solomon from local rivals Tottenham Hotspur for an initial fee of £5 million, potentially rising to £7 million. Solomon signed a three-year contract and will earn around £3 million per season as West Ham aims to return to the Premier League. He will wear the iconic number 10 shirt and is the club's third summer signing following Venezuelan midfielder Kévin Vázquez and experienced Dutch defender Joel Veltman.

Nils Koffen, West Ham's recruitment director, praised Solomon as a creative, versatile, and hardworking attacking player with proven quality and recent Championship experience. He added that Solomon is highly motivated and hungry for success, and the club looks forward to his contributions. West Ham opened their Championship season with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth in the League Cup first round and will face Southampton on August 24.

Managed by Nuno Espírito Santo, West Ham is considered a leading candidate to secure promotion back to the Premier League despite selling star players during the offseason. Midfielder Matheus Fernandes was sold to Tottenham for €99 million, and Dutch international Krisencio Somerville moved to Al-Hilal for €64 million. The squad also includes players like Jarrod Bowen, Toti Castañanos, Jean-Clair Todibo, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tomas Soucek, Niklas Polkrog, Edson Álvarez, James Ward-Prowse, and Al-Haji Malik Diouf.
