Manor Solomon Signs Three-Year Deal with West Ham After Medicals

Manor Solomon, the 27-year-old Israeli winger, officially joins West Ham United today after passing his medical exams at the English Championship club. Solomon, who previously signed a five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur three years ago earning £3 million per season, will now earn approximately £2 million annually at West Ham, reflecting a salary reduction of about one-third. His weekly wage will drop from £60,000 at Tottenham to £40,000 at West Ham.

West Ham, relegated last season to the Championship, began their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth. Solomon is expected to be a key player in their bid to return to the Premier League and is likely to make his debut in the upcoming away match against Burnley on Sunday at 18:00.

As part of the transfer deal, West Ham will pay Tottenham an immediate £5 million, with an additional £2 million payable if the club secures promotion next summer. Tottenham will also receive 10% of any future transfer fee for Solomon. After joining Tottenham in summer 2023, Solomon's time there was hampered by a serious injury and limited playing opportunities, leading to loan spells at Leeds United, Villarreal, and Fiorentina. Despite Fiorentina's strong interest and last-minute attempts to sign him, Solomon chose to remain in England and commit to West Ham.
