Manor Solomon Officially Signs Three-Year Deal with West Ham Wearing Number 10

Israeli national team star Manor Solomon has officially signed a three-year contract with West Ham United, with an option for a fourth season. The Premier League club acquired Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported £5 million, plus up to £2 million in future bonuses. Tottenham also retained a 10 percent sell-on clause. Solomon, who will wear the number 10 jersey, is expected to earn around £3 million per season, similar to his previous salary at Tottenham.

Solomon returned to Tottenham after a loan spell at Fiorentina but was not in the plans of coach Roberto De Zerbi. During the 2024/25 season, he impressed at Leeds United in the Championship, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists, helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League. His career also includes stints at Fulham, Shakhtar Donetsk, Villarreal, and Fiorentina.

West Ham, managed by Nuno Espírito Santo, recently won 3-1 against Portsmouth in the first round of the League Cup. The club is considered a strong candidate to return to the Premier League after relegation, despite selling key players during the summer transfer window, including Matheus Fernandes to Tottenham for €99 million and Dutch international Krishansio to Al-Hilal for €64 million. The squad features players such as Jarrod Bowen, Toti Castejanos, Jean-Clair Todibo, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tomas Soucek, and others.

Former West Ham player Eyal Berkovich praised the signing, saying, "West Ham fans love creative players like Manor. The club is committed to playing creative football, and if he fits in, this is the best deal for him because he will continue in the Premier League. It’s an excellent transfer for him." West Ham will open their Championship season against Burnley next Sunday, in a match between the two relegated teams from the Premier League.
