Manor Solomon Set to Join West Ham After Reaching Agreement with Tottenham

Israeli winger Manor Solomon is close to finalizing a transfer to West Ham United, according to Channel Sport. The 28-year-old is expected to officially join the English Championship club in the coming days after a framework agreement was reached between West Ham and his current club, Tottenham Hotspur. Initially, Tottenham demanded around 10 million euros, but the final fee is expected to be lower and include bonuses for promotion and appearances.

Solomon, who has previously played in England for Fulham, Tottenham, and Leeds United, rejected offers from Premier League side Hull City, Fiorentina (where he was loaned last season), and several clubs from Spain and France. After recovering from a serious injury, he helped Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League in the 2024/25 season. West Ham, recently relegated to the Championship after several years in the Premier League, retains a strong squad including Jarrod Bowen, Edson Álvarez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tomas Soucek, and Nicolas Pólkrug.

Solomon is expected to replace Chrisensio Summerwill, who left for Al-Ahli. This will be the second time Solomon has taken Summerwill's spot, having signed for Leeds two years ago after Summerwill moved to West Ham. West Ham, coached by Nuno Espírito Santo, will start their Championship season on August 16 against Burnley. Given Solomon's advanced fitness and participation in Tottenham's preseason under Roberto De Zerbi, he may make his debut early in the season. The transfer will be permanent rather than a loan.

West Ham considered other candidates to replace Summerwill, including Simon Adingra and Reiss Nelson from Sunderland and Arsenal respectively, but ultimately chose Solomon, partly due to his Championship experience. In his only full season in the physically demanding 46-game Championship, Solomon scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists, marking the best statistical season of his career.
