Sephora Launches First Stores in Israel Starting August 20
After years of Israeli shoppers relying on Sephora stores abroad, the popular beauty retailer is finally opening its first locations in Israel on August 20. Initially, six full stores and five smaller counters will open across the country. The first stores will be located in Azrieli Mall Tel Aviv, Malha Mall Jerusalem, and Ayalon Mall, with three additional stores to follow. The counters will be set up inside existing GLAM42 franchise stores in locations including MEEX Sharone in Hod Hasharon, Mall HaHof Village in Hadera, Star Center Ashdod, Dead Sea Mall, and My Baby in Yarka.
However, the initial Israeli stores will focus exclusively on Sephora Collection, the retailer’s private label brand. Popular international brands like Rare Beauty, Fenty Beauty, Huda Beauty, and Charlotte Tilbury will not be available in this first phase. The stores will feature the familiar Sephora design and shopping experience seen worldwide.
This launch is considered a pilot program to test the Israeli market’s response. If successful, Sephora plans to expand its presence in Israel over the next two years and potentially introduce additional global brands. The company is currently evaluating local demand and partnerships to establish a stronger foothold.
While the initial offering is limited compared to the full Sephora experience abroad, this marks a significant step for Israeli beauty consumers who have long awaited Sephora’s arrival on home soil.
