Beitar Jerusalem Denies Involvement in Clashes Ahead of Cyprus Conference League Match

Reports from Cypriot media claimed that several incidents and clashes involving Israeli fans occurred in the city center overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. However, Beitar Jerusalem strongly denied these allegations, stating that their fans did not cause any damage in Larnaca's streets. According to Beitar's spokesperson, Asaf Nahum, police representatives informed them that no significant incidents took place and that the reports were false. He added that it was actually AEK Larnaca fans who attempted to initiate confrontations and that tear gas was used only against AEK supporters. Nahum emphasized that no Beitar fans were arrested or intended to be arrested and criticized the media for spreading untrustworthy information. He expressed hope that the match would proceed smoothly and that the team could focus on the game itself.
