IDF Says It Gained Control of the Saluki River Area in Lebanon, Released Footage of Militants Killed
Forces from the 7th Brigade Combat Team and the Egoz Unit, under the command of the 36th Division, completed an operation to achieve operational control and clear the northern Saluki River area in the forward defense line, as part of the division’s effort to strengthen operational control in southern Lebanon and remove the direct threat to the communities of the Finger of the Galilee and Metula.
The Saluki River area is used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization as infrastructure for operating explosive drones and for high-trajectory fire against IDF forces operating in the area.
During the activity, the forces destroyed, together with the Air Force, hundreds of terrorist infrastructures and killed more than 50 militants. In addition, several weapons were found, including explosive devices, anti-tank missiles and anti-tank launchers.
