IDF Completes Operation Against Hezbollah Underground Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the completion of its operation to clear Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Al-Tahir mountain range in southern Lebanon. Forces from the 36th Division have achieved operational control both above and below ground in the area.

During the operation, soldiers discovered command centers, living quarters, and kitchens within the tunnels, which were used by Hezbollah's "Badr" unit. The infrastructure, built over two decades with Iranian funding and planning, served as a strategic asset for the terrorist organization.

The IDF stated that the operation neutralized Hezbollah's ability to carry out terror attacks against Israeli civilians and forces from these tunnels. The infrastructure was reportedly used continuously during recent conflicts, including "Arrow of the North" and "Lion's Roar" operations.

IDF forces advanced into the Al-Tahir region recently, having weakened Hezbollah's capabilities throughout the ongoing conflict. The process of neutralizing the discovered infrastructure is ongoing. The IDF reiterated its commitment to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon but warned of a strong response to any attempts by Hezbollah to advance terror plans.

Following the completion of operations in the area, the IDF will re-establish defensive measures based on ongoing situation assessments.
