IDF Completes Operation to Clear Hezbollah Tunnels in Ali Taher Ridge Area

The Israeli military's 36th Division has concluded an operation to clear two underground tunnels in the Ali Taher Ridge area, located within the security zone controlled by Israeli forces. The IDF established operational control over the ridge, both above and below ground, removing terrorists from the area through elimination or forcing their departure. Work to neutralize the cleared underground infrastructure is ongoing. Following the operation's completion, the IDF will redeploy forces for defense based on situational assessments.

The terrorists utilizing this underground infrastructure were engaged in terror operations against Israel and IDF forces. Within the tunnels, command posts, weapons storage facilities, generators, living quarters, showers, and a kitchen were discovered, enabling prolonged combat and habitation. This strategic infrastructure, built over two decades, was financed and designed by Iran, according to the IDF.

IDF forces continue their efforts to clear the security zone in southern Lebanon, vowing to prevent Hezbollah from conducting terror operations against them. The military stated that any attempt by Hezbollah to act against IDF forces will be met with a strong response. The IDF remains committed to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, as emphasized by the military's press service.
