IDF Clears Hezbollah Underground Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon
The Israeli military announced it has completed the operational takeover of the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, successfully clearing two underground Hezbollah infrastructure sites. During the operation, some Hezbollah operatives were killed and others fled the area. The cleared sites contained command posts, weapons rooms, generators, living quarters, showers, and kitchens, which enabled operatives to stay in the area for extended periods. This strategic infrastructure was developed over two decades and funded by Iran. The operation, conducted by forces from the 36th Division, targeted what the IDF described as a significant Hezbollah asset. While the clearing of these specific underground routes is complete, the broader effort to neutralize Hezbollah's infrastructure in the region is ongoing. Following this offensive action, the IDF will re-establish defensive positions in the area.
